8 Things Watchmen TV Show Must Do Differently To Zack Snyder's Film
2. Show Hollis Mason's Death
Despite not being all that big a fan of the Zack Snyder flick, Hollis Mason's death was portrayed perfectly in the film.
Wait... what? It wasn't included in the main cut? In spite of the fact it's one of the most pivotal moments in the book? Well, that just stinks.
It's such an important moment in the actual comic that it really is bizarre it didn't feature in the film's theatrical cut, especially since the rest of it carries such a deep reverence for Moore's work.
You can see the scene itself and how it really nailed that moment, but the trick for the series here, in this case, is to top what Snyder did with the character's death. If they end up following the premise of Cooke's Minutemen mini, and follow Mason as he recalls his adventures with his comrades during the golden age of crimefighting, ending the series on his death would be a perfect way to round things off.
Not only that, it'd give Lindelof the perfect jumping off point to continue with a second series of sorts - one that followed the original team's eighties counterparts and the events of the comic more closely.
