8 TV Love Triangles That Worked (And 3 That Didn't)
6. Quinn, Finn & Rachel - Glee
Glee saw many love triangles over the course of its six-season run, but none were able to live up to the original trio of Rachel, Finn and Quinn. Perhaps what made this storyline stick in our minds was the fact that Finn and Quinn were, on the outside, the perfect high school couple, but on the inside, they were both just pretending. He was the jock that every girl wanted to be with, and she was the cheerleader that every girl wanted to be. But when Rachel came into Finn's life, it unlocked a part of him that he'd kept hidden - she saw the real Finn, not the socially popular persona that he put on in front of his friends.
Finn had to make a choice: to stay with Quinn and maintain his social reputation, or give in to his true feelings and be with Rachel. Every great TV series needs a bit of conflict (when it's internal it's even better) and this love triangle was full of it. Having said that, it was also one of those rare occasions where we all knew which girl Finn should choose. It was always going to be Rachel.
For some odd reason though, the musical dramedy revisited this storyline in the second season of the show - after it had already been wrapped up -and this time around it wasn't handled as well, and felt repetitive.
