8 TV Shows We Already Know Are Coming To An End In 2014
3. Warehouse 13
Is It A Good Thing The Show Is Ending? Not really. End Times: Later this year Warehouse 13 has one of the best sci-fi premises imaginable: U.S. Secret Service Agents track down supernatural items taken from various science fiction storytelling traditions. Basically, the central characters are the people who are in charge of the gigantic storage facility from Indiana Jones. Warehouse 13 isn't as popular in terms of total audience as it was when it first premiered in 2009, but it is the type of show with a good enough premise to continue for at least a few more years. It shares a lot in common with Marvel's Agents of Shield, but the characters are more enjoyable and the writing is more crisp. Plus, it has the excellent Allison Scagliotti as the whip-smart computer whiz. It's also a premise that doesn't necessarily rely on continuity in terms of primary characters; the cast could be shifted around as new cases get solved. Like was originally intended for Heroes, the U.S. Secret Service Agents could change over the course of a season, but the premise could still say essentially the same. Even if it didn't move around its cast members it could still function as an enjoyable show with a different premise from week to week. The Moonlighting phase of the show is probably over, but that doesn't mean the X-Files portion of it has to go. But this year is its last, so let's hope it makes good on its continued promise.
