Bomb Girls is a Canadian TV drama that first aired in 2012, detailing the stories of four women working in a munitions factory during World War II. Since its air the show has been warmly received and developed a decent fanbase, but these same fans also contributed to the shows sudden demise.

During the wait for the second season, spoilers for the whole episode run were leaked online. Though the production company attempted to stifle the spread of these spoilers, it was sadly inevitable. What wasn't inevitable, however, was the vehemently negative fan reaction to a certain romantic pairing being shot down. This lead to fan protests and the flooding of the writers' and actors' social media accounts with extreme vitriol and abuse.

Fans were so incensed that the show was actually put on a mid-season hiatus. During this hiatus, however, Bomb Girls was moved to a different time slot and viewership plummeted, leading to no third season. Though a TV movie was put together to try and wrap up any loose story threads the show was irrevocably damaged.
