Kate Kane's Batwoman has to be one of the coolest members of the Bat-fam that we've seen since its inception. An army veteran inspired by The Dark Knight to don a bat-suit and take part in his war on crime, Kate Kane has featured in a number of critically revered stories in the medium, including 52, Detective Comics and, more obviously, her own solo series too. She's also a massive icon of LGBT* rep in the medium, which is pretty rad too.

While Kate could absolutely flourish on the big screen, a dark, gritty TV show would do the trick as well. We've never really gotten to explore the Bat-mythos (properly) in a serialised format, and, while there are other candidates out there - like Nightwing, Huntress and co. - who could command a formidable small screen presence, Batwoman presents by far the better concept.

Any show would do well to follow the threads established by Greg Rucka, J.H. Williams III and Haden Blackman in the character's solo series, particularly if it focused on Kate's past and her initial path to taking on the mantle of Batwoman. Audiences can grow tired of origin stories - yes - but Batwoman's is by far the most inventive (and unfamiliar) of all other Bat-heroes. Film it in a way that really makes the red of the series pop and burst, then you could have one of the most gorgeous-looking series out there.
