8 Unusual Demands Made By Guest Stars On Family Guy

6. Lucasfilm - Keep The Jawas As The Jawas

Family Guy is known for bringing to life often ruthless parodies of celebrities, movies, and other TV shows. The biggest, and arguably best they have done so far is their version of the original Star Wars trilogy, the first of which was 'Blue Harvest'.

As Chris Griffin’s Luke Skywalker was introduced on Tatooine, he dealt and bartered with the Jawas just like he did in A New Hope, eventually coming away with C-3PO and R2-D2. However, the Jawas themselves were almost very different.

Everyone loves a good pun, and thanks to Mort Goldman playing the role of one of the Jawas before portraying Lando Calrissian in the later episodes of the homage, Family Guy wanted to change the Jawas to Jewas. However, when they ran this past Lucasfilm, the company insisted that they stay as Jawas, for fear that such a joke could potentially damage the Star Wars brand.

Again, though not technically voiced by a celebrity, the Jawas and Lucasfilm should certainly be considered guests on Family Guy, and would have seen potentially tasteless creative changes if not for Lucasfilm’s insistence.
