7. Roald Dahl Books - Netflix

Adapting the works of Roald Dahl isn't something new and quite frankly, it's something we've gotten used to by now what with the recent release of The Witches. Over the years we've seen untouchable successes like Matilda, James & The Giant Peach and Wes Anderson's stop-motion flick Fantastic Mr. Fox.

But a series of adaptations coming from Netflix carries with it a sense of elevated interest, especially when you realise that the incredibly talented Taika Waititi will be championing his own versions of both Charlie And The Chocolate Factory and The Great Glass Elevator. The absurd and elaborate spectacle of both books are sure to fit comfortably in Waititi's eccentric wheelhouse and bring exciting new takes to the source material.

And that's not all, as Matilda is set to be brought to the screen in two forms, including a live-action musical AND an animated feature.

There is still no word as to whether or not the story of the grandmother poisoner George Kranky and his marvellous medicine will finally get the adaptation is deserves. But if Netflix has anything to say about it, be sure to watch out for some immensely ludicrous depictions of the famous children's books.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
