8 Ways Westworld Is Basically A Video Game

The concept of quests (or narratives as they are often referred to by the people in charge of Westworld) is the basis for everything that goes on in the park.

Much like games, the side quests can be ignored or embraced, with the possibility that they may lead you down a merry path that no one else has experienced. There are also larger quests that cause chaos across the park and introduce the guests to more intriguing hosts.

Characters can make a game and it is no different in Westworld. The park allows them to build an affinity with the hosts. This often means that they acquire a companion of some sort to experience the quests with them.

Aspects of Westworld can even be related to that dreaded three letter acronym, DLC. We see that the park is adding narratives all the time and whilst it is unclear if it impacts pricing, it clearly creates a level of game-like replayability in the park that brings guests back again and again.
