Everybody has to start somewhere, and for John Barrowman it was in this short-lived US soap opera that followed the riveting lives of a bunch of boring people who worked for a high flying magazine called Communique. 'Riveting' being the operative word, there. As its title would suggest, it was also set in New York City which made it exactly like every other Big Apple based drama available on the televisual market, only considerably less interesting. The now universally beloved Captain Jack star completed the cast ensemble as a "charismatic attorney" called Peter Fairchild but the show lasted a grand total of 7 episodes before it was put on a crisis "rebranding hiatus". The rebrand didn't work, and it aired its final episode on 28th June 1996, just 9 short months after its premiere. Damn. On the topic of disastrous soap operas...
