1. Nightwing
Of all these characters who deserve more time in the limelight, possibly the one with the most potential which has never been realised on screen before is Nightwing. Dick Grayson, the youthful ward of Bruce Wayne, is obviously a familiar character to even non comic book readers but his second superhero identity after Robin, as he steps out of Batman's shadow, has never been portrayed in a live-action form. There seems to be a vogue at the moment for TV series starring lesser-known heroes while the presence of a more famous one hangs in the background - think Daredevil operating in a world which also has the Avengers or Supergirl often featuring Superman in silhouette. A Nightwing series could be the best of the bunch as Grayson tries to come out from under the, ahem, wing of Batman and be his own hero. If Nightwing is not deemed strong enough to lead his own show, this could be the perfect time for the oft-toted live-action Teen Titans series, which would see the former Boy Wonder lead a team of young superheroes.
