3. The Question
While several of these ideas so far are for DC shows that would have a sci-fi or fantasy spin, there are plenty more down-to-earth characters who also deserve their own series. For instance, for a show about a classic costumed vigilante, perhaps in the vein of Batman or Daredevil, the best option would be the Question. Vic Sage is an investigative reporter by day but by night he dons a mask made of synthetic skin (that is applied via a special gas) to hide his features and become the Question, a no-nonsense crimefighter who doesn't have a qualm about killing criminals. A series based on the character could even be relocated to the 1930s or 40s to really give it that dark, pulpy feel. Perhaps another, in some ways more likely, option could be to produce a series about the second Question: police officer Renee Montoya. That character currently appears in Gotham so The Question is practically crying out to be a spin-off from that show.
