9 Doctor Who Actors You Didn't Know Could Sing

7. Catherine Tate

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giaMRyn47Xg Doctor Who couldn't get rid of Catherine Tate quick enough when she was introduced as Donna Noble, a fiesty bride to be, in the 2006 festive escapade The Runaway Bride. Cut to 2008 and she was back with an almighty vengeance as a full time TARDIS co-resident which helped to firmly establish her character as one of the most popular companions in Doctor Who history. Not too shabby for a temp from Chiswick! An award winning comedienne, Catherine is beloved for her self named sketch show - which introduced the nation to such classic characters as Nan and Lauren "Am I bovvered?" Cooper - and she's such an all round talented lady that it's probably no surprise that she's got a good set of pipes on her, too. She showcased her singing ability in a West End production of Much Ado About Nothing, in which she starred alongside Tenth Doctor actor David Tennant, and she also joined forces with her former Doctor Who co-star in The Ballad of Russell T Davies, above, which was screened at Russell's leaving do and has since become a fan favourite. Check it out for yourself to see what all the fuss is about!
