9 Horror TV Show Facts That Will Blow Your Mind

5. Only ONE Actor Made It Into Every Season In The Twilight Zone

One of the OGs in the television horror universe, The Twilight Zone is a legendary name in the business for its trippy opening sequences and brain-scrambling twists. And just like in its mysterious narratives, not everything is as it seems with the surface level of the television production.

There's plenty of interesting tidbits surrounding the show, but by far the most impressive is the one actor that managed to slip into every single season of it airing - no mean feat considering its anthology format. Robert McCord managed to get himself into a whopping 67 episodes, mostly as an extra, over the time of it airing.

And that's not the only sneaky addition the producers got past us, as the classic opening spiel of the show was almost a massive flub. A network executive who listened to Rob Serling's pilot voiceover discovered a simple mistake where Serling referenced 'the sixth dimension'. Apparently, Serling believed there were five already, resulting in what could have been some seriously complicated interdimensional travels if they hadn't corrected the error just in time for its release.

That's not where it ends for Serling's classic commentary either - would you believe that "submitted for your approval" was only uttered three times in the show's run?
