9 Questions About Archer Season 6

8. Can Pam Kick Her Cocaine Addiction?

Even when she was working as a humble Human Resources manager, Pam Poovey was a force of nature. Before Vice, she had grappled with violent kidnappers, a drift racing detachment of the Yakuza, underground fighting rings, and who knows what else besides. In addition to her seemingly indestructible nature, her addictive personality has seen her capable of withstanding mindboggling quantities of alcohol, marijuana, and food in all its forms - even kinds to which she is allergic. Consequently, when she found herself surrounded by snowy piles of cocaine, it didn€™t take long before Pam was sampling hits of Class A powder, and as the storylines of Vice really began to take off, she started gorging on the stuff like candy. As a result, the star of Season 5 was a Pam transformed: stick-thin, perennially spaced, and more unpredictable than ever before. As seen in €˜House Call€™, when the group finally attempted to wean Pam from her precious poison€ well, €˜beyond feral€™ is probably the best summary. Yet the fun had to end somewhere, and with her access to cocaine now supposedly cut dead, what state will we find Pam in next? Will she be struggling to go cold turkey? Starting her own clandestine dealings in the underworld to feed her habits? Or will she be able to instantaneously snap back to her old self? Reed has hinted that he will be running with the latter option in Season 6, but this writer is personally praying that we get at least one final glimpse of Pam€™s cocaine-crazed antics, in the wake of the immortal sign-off: €œLooks like ol€™ Snowball done it again!€
