9 Reasons Ash Vs. Evil Dead Is Better Than The Walking Dead

1. Bruce Campbell

The chin is all you need. Norman Reedus has become the breakout star of The Walking Dead (no surprise to Boondock Saints fans), but realistically, there's no way any zombie show can ever top the casting of Bruce Campbell. He's a B-movie legend, a king of the genre, and his presence/absence makes or breaks the property. Case in point, the Evil Dead remake. Without Campbell in the starring role, it was just another horror flick. It wasn't bad, per se, but it wasn't an Evil Dead movie. Ash vs. Evil Dead is your real sequel, and Campbell is a bonafide star. His willingness to poke fun at himself knows no bounds, and from the very first scene of the series - where he straps himself into a man-girdle - it's evident that Campbell is willing to throw caution to the wind. The cast of The Walking Dead may be better actors, technically, at least in some cases, but come on - not one of them is Bruce Campbell.
