The gravest insult to the whiskered world came via Survival and the casting of two comedians as laconic corner shop owners. Fantastical as it may seem, Gareth Hale and Norman Pace were once big stars, starring in a highly popular series. If that wasn't strange enough, it was on ITV! Their most famous sketch concerned putting a kitten in a microwave and the production's recruitment of this double act surely put the nail in the coffin of McCoy/Moggy relations. The Doctor asking for advice about cat food was a peculiar enough sight but an appearance by the performers of skits to do with frying up felines? It sent a clear message to pets everywhere, at least. If you like tuna, get easily distracted by shiny things and go to the toilet in a tray... and don't bother watching this show! Do you agree that cats get the sour cream from Doctor Who? Spray your opinions into the box below.
