Mr. Kinnevy: "Wait a minute. You're a kid." Doogie Howser: "True, but I'm also a genius. If you have a problem with that, I can get you an older doctor who's not as smart as me." Being approached by a teenager wearing scrubs at the hospital might raise a few eyebrows. Is it Halloween? Is he simply a patient who needed a change of clothes? Or maybe he's an escaped mental patient who stole the scrubs in an attempt blend in? After all of those questions are answered with a resigning "no", you are only left with one probable option, that this kid must be a freaking prodigy. Dr. Hoswer (portrayed by a very young Neil Patrick Harris) wasn't exaggerating when he called himself a genius. The 16-year-old physician has been basically training to be a doctor his whole life, and did nothing but. He earned a perfect score on the SAT at the age of six, completed high school in nine weeks at the age of nine, graduated from Princeton University at age 10, and finished medical school four years later. At the tender age of 14, Howser was the youngest licensed doctor in the country, and had newspapers articles written about how he "can't buy beer but can prescribe drugs". Other than the fact that it might be a ted annoying taking instructions from someone who can be your son, wouldn't you feel safe with a doctor who basically never kissed a girl, never had any friends or ever played a video game, just so he can learn how to take care of you?
