9 Television Doctors You'd Trust With Your Life

2. Doctor Temperance Brennan (Bones)

She is often referred to as "Bones" because her life's work consists of solving crimes using the evidence found on skeletons. Doctor Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) is the head forensic anthropologists of the fictional Jeffersonian Institute in Washington, D.C. Along with her husband FBI Special Agent husband, Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) and her team of scientists, otherwise known as "squints", she brings murderers to justice. Dr. Brennan might seem like an odd pick for this list of skilled healers as she's not actually an MD, but looking closer at her record there are numerous examples that prove that she could be, if she just wanted. On one occasion, Brennan could tell that one of the murder suspects was pregnant just from having observed her gait; another time she could tell if one of the young beauty pageant contestants was suffering from scoliosis just by watching them perform on stage; and at some point she diagnosed one of her interns with cancer, from a simple wrist injury. This scientist, who lacks basic social skills and tact, is definitely not lacking in intelligence. She has three doctorates, in anthropology, forensic anthropology and kinesiology, speaks at least eight other languages and confesses herself that: "I'm brilliant€“ that is not in dispute." She might not be the one to turn to for compaction and bedside manners, but when even Dr. House can't diagnose you (if that's possible), she just might have the answer.
