9 Things That Must Happen In The New Series Of Torchwood
5. Make The Stories More Intimate And Personal To The Team
Because that's what Torchwood was all about, and it's definitely the department in which it effortlessly excels. Torchwood's original unique selling point was that the extra terrestrial escapades impacted each member of the team in a unique way and the consequences of their amicable Earth defending actions were always explored in depth to create interesting and dynamic storylines involving the characters fans loved, and sometimes even loathed. Whether it was Tosh's ongoing relationship woes with the likes of Adam and Mary, Owen's date with death itself or Gwen's now iconic Nostrovite impregnation (above), the formidable foes always affected our heroes on a more personal level which is one of the reasons Torchwood was so unlike anything else on TV. The premise of the new audio adventures will be "exploring the impact that a mysterious event has on the team", which certainly sounds promising. It hasn't been confirmed who the team actually is yet of course, but it's a step in the right direction.
