9 Things That Must Happen In The New Series Of Torchwood

2. More Martha

Contrary to what the picture above suggests, Martha Jones actually had a whale of a time in Torchwood. Promise. Fresh and fully equipped from her life as the Tenth Doctor's coveted companion, Martha firmly established herself as an irreplaceable member of the Torchwood team during her short but sweet stint in the spin off's second series, so much so that she was almost reinstated permanently for Children of Earth before Freema Agyeman chose a leading role in ITV's Law & Order: UK instead. Honestly, Freema. Have you never heard of "priorities"?! Let's face it, though, Martha was put to far better use in Torchwood. She made more of an impression in those 3 episodes alone than she did throughout her entire tenure about the TARDIS, where she was introduced as a medical student before putting her skills into practise approximately never. OK, so she did put an ice pack on someone's head that one time, but here she was in Torchwood rocking it out in the lab where she belonged. It was a match made in heaven and hopefully fans will hear more from Martha in the new audio adventures! She might even bring Mickey Smith along with her, too...
