9. The One Where Friends Was Created

Quite a touching moment early on saw the show's director and executive producer Kevin Bright, and co-creators and executive producers Marta Kauffman and David Crane shown in the audience, leading to the characters they created reconciling with the team that made them famous.

This was sweet.

What followed was a short interview of Kauffman and Crane explaining the concept of Friends, saying how they drew on inspirations from their own lives and how they wanted the show to feature an ensemble cast rather than focusing on one specific character. Crane explained Friends the best, stating that its single-sentence pitch was "It's about that time in your life where your friends are your family".

A lot of this is already known to fans, but still, it was nice to see Crane, Kauffman, and Bright given screentime throughout the special.

The characters of Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler, and Joey might be some of television's finest, but Friends wouldn't exist without David, Marta, and Kevin. They deserved this moment.
