5. Johann Fennhoff

Played By: Ralph Brown Long before Kilgrave stepped into the MCU with the power to control people to do his bidding, Fennhoff was around hypnotizing people to do his. Blaming Howard Stark for the murder of his brother via the release of Stark's Midnight Oil - something Stark himself had no part in - he managed to manipulate his way into SSR protective custody, with everyone fooled into thinking he was innocent until it was too late. The inclusion of Fennhoff - the comic character Doctor Faustus - was pretty neat, and Brown did a wonderful job, with his soothing voice making it all too easy to see how various characters could be hypnotized, whether it was Stark, Dooley, or even Agent Yauch, the latter of whom he had walk straight into an oncoming car. And though he won't be returning for season two, his character still managed to bear a lot of importance in the MCU, as his final moments in the presence of Arnim Zola suggested that it was his brainwashing techniques that would go on to help turn Bucky Barnes into the Winter Soldier.
