Agents Of SHIELD: 15 MCU Characters Who Realistically Could Still Appear
12. Bucky Barnes
Despite being one-half of the film's title, the actual Winter Soldier didn't spend as much time in last year's Captain America sequel as he deserved. Stealing the show in nearly every scene he was in, Bucky has a bright future ahead in the MCU, with actor Sebastian Stan having revealed last year that he was locked down for nine films. With so much mystery around the character, both with his decades-long history since his friends saw him fall to his death and his whereabouts and actions after the sequel, Bucky has a lot of story to be mined. Given that Cap's quest to find him is likely taking a backseat in Age of Ultron and that fans will have to wait until next year's Civil War to see him fully in action again, bringing him in in some capacity to Marvel's TV realm could be quite engaging. Aside from the fact any future return of Agent Carter could incorporate an appearance from the rising, mysterious and faceless assassin, the present-day journey to find Bucky could be a task given to the Agents in a season three, post-Age of Ultron world, with their efforts leading up to where Civil War kicks off. Like Ty Burrell, Stan has a history with the Disney-owned studio, having starred in the first two seasons of Once Upon a Time as the Mad Hatter; and that's not to mention his other television credits along the way. Bucky's a character many want to see more of - an appearance in SHIELD would be a great way to flesh him out a bit more before he's swept up in the conflict between Tony Stark and Captain America.
