Agents Of SHIELD: 8 Mistakes It Needs To Fix In Season 3
6. More Grant Ward
A big part of the success of the second half of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s first season was the big twist that Grant Ward was a villain, a double-agent who had always been loyal to Hydra and John Garrett. Having watched him play the good-guy, it was really fun to see him cut loose as a bad one. Unfortunately his screen time was drastically reduced in season 2, reduced to being more of a supporting player as the show focused more on the Inhumans and the mystery of Skye's parentage. Whenever he was on our TVs, though, either communicating with Skye, his brother, or his arc with Agent 33, he was captivating and unpredictable. Because of that nature, as well as the fact that few agents can compete with him, we need to see a lot more of him in season 3. Last year ended with him losing Kara and any possible hope for redemption, and taking over whatever remains of Hydra, and that's a route the show needs to continue down, with Ward playing a much bigger part in things once again.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
