Agents Of SHIELD: 8 Mistakes It Needs To Fix In Season 3
3. Some Different Inhumans
On the whole, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pulled off the Inhumans plot successfully; it was interesting, exciting, led to some great development for Skye, and broadened the horizons of the show. The only drawback was the types of Inhuman they introduced, as they probably could've gone a bit further with it. Granted they were never going to introduce the Royal Family, who will presumably be the focus of the 2019 film, but they still could've introduced some bigger and better characters, with more powers and stranger appearances. Only two of the Inhumans we met actually looked considerably different, Raina and Gordon, and both of them were killed off by the end of the season. That's a shame, as they looked great on screen, and really helped give the sense that this was a different, powerful species. Given they're set to have more Inhumans next year, the hope is that they don't waste the opportunity to really push the envelope and have characters with wilder powers and even less human appearances, which would not only help the show but also aid the build-up to the film, giving the show a tangible link to the MCU that should serve it well in the long-term.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
