Agents Of SHIELD: 8 Mistakes It Needs To Fix In Season 3
4. Better (And More) Villains
One area where the show is lacking somewhat is in the villains, especially when compared to its peers. Daredevil, for example, had the magnificent Wilson Fisk as the big bad, while Agent Carter, although a limited series, had Dottie Underwood and Johann Fennoff. Over on the shows of Marvel's big rival, DC series such as Arrow and The Flash have had some great overarching villains, and some really memorable smaller bad-guys as well. S.H.I.E.L.D. could do with improving on both fronts. It doesn't need to go to the villain-of-the-week mode, but introducing a few more recurring bad-guys for the team to take on would be an improvement, which is what they looked to do with Crusher Creel last year but never progressed from. Similarly, they need a truly villainous big-bad to run throughout the year. That could well be Grant Ward, and hopefully he's up to the task, as it's something that would really ramp up the tensions of the show.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
