4. The Show Is Set A Couple of Weeks After Iron Man 3
In the first episode we saw a man infected with the Extremis going on a rampage in the city, as well as a big explosion in a compound where they were working with the serum. That was enough clue to suggest that this film is going on sometime after the events of Iron Man 3. However, unlike Thor: The Dark World which we already know is happening a year after the events of The Avengers here we can estimate how long has gone by after the third installment in the Iron Man Franchise. In the scene in which Coulson is investigating the explosion he commented that the device was fueled by the Extremis, and that it was something "very new." In Iron Man 3, A.I.M. was the only company with access to Extremis not even Shield or government organizations knew about its existence until the end of the movie. At best the series is happening 4 or 5 months after the events in Iron Man 3, and while we're at it...
