Ahsoka Episode 1 Review - 7 Ups & 2 Downs

4. Up - The Potential For Cameos

Ahsoka Episode 1 Master and Apprentice
Lucasfilm

With Ahsoka’s connections to plenty of different areas of the Star Wars universe, there comes the potential for some outstanding appearances from other characters. The show can’t lean on them, and can’t count on them to draw in an audience as this is still Ahsoka’s series, but who doesn’t love a good cameo?

Aside from Sabine, Hera, and Ezra, Chopper will also appear in the series. But what about the rest of the crew? Zeb made his first live-action appearance in The Mandalorian earlier in the year and has to be a strong candidate to do so again in Ahsoka. If he could also bring Kallus or a bald, bearded Temuera Morrison as Rex into live-action with him, that would be much appreciated.

There is a chance, no matter how slim, that Kanan Jarrus could appear in a flashback, though based on Freddie Prinze Jr.’s comments in the past the Jedi would have to be recast. He isn’t even the only one from Ahsoka’s past that could appear in a flashback, or if the World Between Worlds is utilized in the show.

Darth Vader, or at least Anakin seems likely to appear, but having a Nightsister of Dathomir show up in the pilot almost forces you to think about a cameo from Darth Maul or even Savage Opress. This is without even mentioning the possibility of reuniting with Mando, Grogu, or Luke.

There is bound to be some excellent fan service in this regard at some point in the series.
