American Dad: Ranking Every Main Character Worst To Best
6. Jeff Fischer
It is a common trope for the father of a TV family to hate the boyfriend of his daughter. It's been done to death really, but there's no denying that Jeff Fischer makes a great addition to the Smith family and to American Dad in general.
There is nothing as opposite to Stan's personality and beliefs than a stoner loser, who lives out of his van, doesn't have a job, and doesn't respect the government. This, and the almost permanent smile and blind optimism with which he approaches every day makes Jeff incredibly loveable.
He compliments Hayley well as a booty call, then boyfriend, then husband, made for a nerdy friend on occasion for Steve, and has had a borderline obsession with Mrs. S. In just about every episode he appears in, he is guaranteed a laugh or two, usually just because of his own stupidity rather than any actual relationship he is a part of.
However, that being said, one of the few episodes that centered around him was 'Lost in Space'. After being thrown into space by Roger, he found himself on a Rick and Morty style ship, and had to realise his true love in order to get home. It was a very strong episode, and though he missed out on a lot of time when he was stuck in space, fans rejoiced when he returned.
