American Horror Story: 10 Interesting Theme Ideas For Future Seasons

7. Cult

The producers of American Horror Story could focus on something like the Charles Manson's Family Cult that was based in and around the 1960's - a time the producers based Season 4's Freak Show on. In case you don't know, Charles Manson was a racist who took lyrics from The Beatles on their White Album and used it to inspire him to kill, calling it "Helter Skelter" - his definition of a time when white people murdered black people. In 1969, Manson and his family wanted to start "Helter Skelter" by brutally attacking residents at the Tate residence. In all, 102 stab wounds were inflicted on four victims, and a fifth victim was shot. Left dead were actress Sharon Tate, Jay Sebring, Voytek Frykowski, Abigail Folger, and Steven Parent. The murders were discovered by housekeeper Winifred Chapman the next morning, along with the words "Death to Pigs" and "Healter Skelter" that were printed on the refrigerator and walls. Perhaps Evan Peters could portray the psychotic Charles Manson as well as he did Tate Langdon?
