Whether it be furnishing your home in the human-skin-lamp section of Ikea, or plucking out your enemies eyes with a melon baller, American Horror Story has offered up some pretty gruesome moments across its six seasons.
Easily stealing the accolade for most messed up show on television, we have had six seasons of sickening scenes. The show's first season set the bar high with rubber gimps and bodies in crawl spaces, but somehow the madness has grown from there.
We may only just have started on Roanoke, but amongst the mystery of colonies and cannibals surrounding the series, we are sure there are a few more stomach-churning moments coming our way. The Pig Man and Kathy Bates's The Butcherer are ensuring that the sixth season could be our bloodiest yet

10. The Mattress Man

Episode: 3 - "Mommy"

Hotel was a return in the franchise to the darker tones of Asylum - it was clear that the Hotel Cortez had some dark secrets locked away amongst the false corridors and hidden shafts...whilst even the bed's offered up horror. The original mattress man became a John Doe an unknown backstory, however, the same fate befell Gabriel the junkie.
Naomi Campbell's (brief) stint on the show ended when she was stabbed to death by ice pick, when Gabriel tore free of the mattress that Sally had sewn him into. There was no chance of a good night's sleep at the Cortez.
