Coming in at the beginning of this terrifying top ten, is one of the most human and hauntingly horrific moments American Horror Story showed us - the brutal attack of spoiled movie star witch Madison Montgomery (Emma Roberts) at a frat party down the block from the witch school Ms. Robichaux's Academy, after she decides to attend to blow off some steam. Madison is by no means, an easily sympathetic character, but this brutal, terrifying assault by a group of disgusting frat boys sickens no matter who the victim. Madison manages to make her way out of the attack, but only with the help of new girl Zoe (Taissa Farmiga) and after she's been violated and raped. She then, in a fugue state, crashes the bus of the escaping frat boys with her telekinetic rage, a la Carrie White, and gives a brutal, bloody act of vengeance as the climax of episode one of Coven.
