American Horror Story: 10 Things Freak Show Must Do Better Than Its Predecessors

1. Give Jessica Lange A Good Send Off

American Horror Story and Jessica Lange are hand in hand €“ she is a fabulous actress and was a complete stand-out star in Murder House, so much so that she was made effectively the main character for quite large portions of the following two seasons. This is to be expected once again in Freak Show €“ but one thing that hasn't been done yet is to give her character a happy ending. In Murder House she ended up looking after the demon baby, while in Asylum she died from an illness after undergoing some rather unfortunate treatment in the asylum itself. As for Coven €“ well, there can only be one Supreme at a time, and in order for a new one to take over the old one must die. Certainly it might not be normal for a character in a horror story to have a happy ending, but certain characters had theirs in past seasons €“ but this does seem to be restricted to Sarah Paulson's characters in Asylum and Coven. It's about time that Lange's character got a swing at happiness, and it would be a wonderful send off to such a marvellous actress, especially as the person who really put American Horror Story on the map.
