American Horror Story: 10 Ways The Different Seasons Can Be Connected

5. Constance€™s Crazy Family Ties

Constance acquires the Harmon baby, who is also her grandson, (nope, that€™s not weird) from the Murder House at the end of Season 1, following Ben€™s murder. She disappears from society for a while, loving her new life with her baby, but eventually, a girl has got to get her hair done. So she heads to the salon and has an eye-opening chat with the hairdresser. Constance explains her absence by mentioning that she got a baby. But, where, dear Constance? She states that she adopted him from her family in Virginia, the DeLongpres. This name comes up again in Season 3. Mimi DeLongpre was once the Supreme of the coven, prior to Anna Leigh Leighton. Mimi€™s painting is even on the wall in the academy; she€™s the one that looks uncannily like Phryne Fisher. Mimi could be an aunt to Constance, which would mean that magic runs in the family blood. That would also explain the reason ghost Tate was able to impregnate human Vivien. It€™s going to take some magic to make that seed work. There€™s also an historical connection to the DeLongpre name. Paul DeLongpre was a talented painter who lived in Los Angeles in the early 1900s. He painted flower specimens and maintained a large garden. DeLongpre is not a common last name, so he could be the inspiration for Constance€™s family.
