4. It's Too Short

Remember the days when episodes of American Horror Story used to be a total of 90 minutes long? Well, it seems that this is well and truly a thing of the past. Last week's episode of Apocalypse ran for a mere 38 minutes, which might've seemed awfully short, but given that the episode was a one-off Michael-centric instalment - carried almost entirely by actor Cody Fern, who has been a real revelation this season - it was completely understandable for it to be a bit shorter than you average episode.

Unfortunately, this trend continues into Fire and Reign, which is also only 38 minutes long. Following on from the previous point, considering this is the penultimate episode of Apocalypse, and considering there is still so much more flashback narrative left to cover before we even get to the present day stuff, you'd think Fire and Reign would've at least been the standard 48 minutes. Instead, we're given a much shorter episode - one that depicts only the events that we already knew, therefore feeling rather pointless.
