6. Nan's Revenge

Luke's mother Joan is an abusive woman who is quick to punish her son whenever he acts ungodly. Her actions which she claims she does as a result of her faith, are difficult to watch and even process. How can a woman call herself a Christian when she acts so devilishly? She even kills her own son but instead of seeing it as a murder, she sees it as a blessing, for he is now in God's hands. When Nan discovers that she has killed her son and cremated his body, she uses her powers on Joan and forces her to commit suicide by drinking her own bleach. Viewers accept the justice in Joan's death but that doesn't mean that watching a woman struggling to wolf down a full bottle of bleach is going to be comfortable.
