American Horror Story: Every Evan Peters Character Ranked Worst To Best

5. Jimmy Darling (Freak Show)

AHS Cult
FX

Jimmy Darling was arguably Freak Show's best character, a man born with a deformity that led to the nickname "Lobster Boy" and a brutal rejection by society. Though he was shown to have a temper, Jimmy was nonetheless the season's unwavering moral compass, guiding his friends through their various obstacles and hardships.

Unwaveringly loyal to his friends and the freak show, Jimmy's was a tragic tale that continuously beat him down at every turn. His hope for a happy ending paid off, too, as the finale decided to give him a moving and well-deserved sendoff.

In a season often singled-out as American Horror Story's weakest effort, Jimmy Darling was a true standout who kept the emotional punches coming and allowed Freak Show to remain an intriguing story even in its worst moments. Peters is great at playing the lovable underdog, and as Jimmy he's arguably never been better in such a role.
