American Horror Story: Every Villain Ranked Worst To Best

Kathy Bates' first foray into the AHS universe saw her cast in what is still her most loathsome and despicable role, as real-life socialite Delphine LaLaurie, who took great pleasure in torturing African-American slaves and had an age-old rivalry with the titular coven.

With a lethal mix of remorselessness and arrogance, Delphine was a welcome - if hated - addition to the show's third season, adding a level of depravity and cruelty to the mostly horror-less story.

Though she didn't have much baring on Coven's main plot as a whole, Delphine's hideous nature and lack of humanity still made her an unforgettable AHS antagonist.
