Yet another key Apocalypse villain, Miriam Mead was a devout follower of big bad Michael Langdon, and one of the season's most sadist characters.

Mead worked as a great link to Langdon's past and allowed Kathy Bates to give one of her most unhinged and unsettling performances to date, but as with Venable and Stevens before her, she too ended up an underused addition to the season, and lost much of her initial menace as the story progressed around her.
