2. Is John Really Holden's Father?

Out of everyone in the show, who does Holden really look like? Who else has white hair and resides at the hotel? Alex said Holden smelled like "a field of lavender in the south of France". The field of lavender in France was considered "The Elysian Fields" back in the day where god and goddesses were said to rule the heavens and the Earth. Is this implying that Holden is heavenly and his name Holden could mean 'hold on' as in, hold on to goodness. Except, wherever you find goodness, you also find evil, but this ties us in nicely to Elizabeth. Lady Gaga's character the Countess could represent a god for she is beautiful, strong and immortal. She is offering people a life without death but in doing so is simultaneously damning them to hell as they have to kill and drink the blood of others in order to survive. It's almost as if she's trying to create a perfect world within the hotel but it's actually made the place into a living hell, full of restless and lost souls. Symbolically her hair is pure white as are the children's, so do they represent the good which is being antagonised by March's insidiousness? Is she Eve? A woman who creates life or is she Satan by taking away their right to die?
