American Horror Story: Ranking Every Evan Peters Character From Worst To Best

4. Kai Anderson

Evan Peters American Horror Story
FX

Peters proved in Hotel that he's very, very good at playing psychotic, and he had the opportunity to do so again in Cult, when he portrayed the villainous Kai Anderson. Throughout the 11-episode season, Kai is driven by his hatred of the world's current state, hoping to follow in his idol Donald Trump's footsteps by doing what he believes will make America a better place.

While many seasons of American Horror Story have their drawbacks, there wasn't an awful lot to love about Cult. In spite of the season's somewhat mediocrity, however, there is Kai Anderson, who was one of the greatest gifts AHS has ever given to fans.

He's a well-rounded character who, regardless of his status as a psychopath, manages to make viewers empathise with him. What's more, there's a reason Kai is the way that he is, so therefore, his evil nature is entirely believable. One dimensional is not a term that we can associate with this character.

Peters is astounding as Kai, and perhaps the biggest horror story to come out of Cult was the fact that the actor was not granted an Emmy nomination for his performance in the less-than-stellar season, despite his fellow cast members garnering one for themselves.
