The Americans: 5 Burning Questions For Season 3

1. Will The Center Go After Paige?

The biggest, and most heart-wrenching revelation from the finale was the fact that the Center is seeking "second generation illegals." They plan to take the children of their undercover operatives and train them to be KGB agents, since they will have more luck at passing the background checks required to join the FBI and CIA. Now that their first recruit, Jared, has been killed, Claudia tells Philip and Elizabeth that the Center wants to page to be next. This brings up interesting questions of loyalty and duty. Though Philip and Elizabeth object, Claudia reminds them that Paige isn't just their daughter. She also belongs to the Soviets, and to the cause. This prompts Philip to meet with Arkady, and threaten him into not going after Paige. However, we saw with Jared that the Center isn't above sneakily recruiting children into the program, and may do the same with Paige. Additionally, while Philip is vehemently against the idea, Elizabeth is intrigued by it, and feels that it's the right thing to do. So, the big question for next season is, will Paige finally learn the truth about her parents? She's had growing suspicions all season, and is currently seeking a cause in which she can believe in and fight for. More importantly, if she joins the KGB, will it destroy her, as Philip suggests? Those are our five biggest burning questions for The Amercans' third season. This year's run of episodes will be hard to top, but the seeds have been planted for an excellent and riveting new season. Tell us, what do you think of these questions? What are you wondering most about Season 3?
