Speaking of unpredictable pairings, the will they, won't they relationship between Archer and Lana...Lana...LANAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA has been one of the richest veins to be tapped throughout all five seasons of Archer so far. They started off as lover, quickly broke up when she realised what a total jackass she was, and then had a similarly unsatisfying series of trysts with Cyril from accounting. Poor old Cyril. At least he got to indulge that gender-swapping fantasy of his for a while. Amongst all the other plot twists in Archer Vice, one of the more shocking was that Lana had gotten herself knocked up. She kept insisting she'd gone for a sperm donor rather than actually having sex, but it wasn't until the season finale that the father was finally revealed. Immediately after Archer had tried to woo her once and for all by getting Kenny Loggins to play at the baby shower, only to be rocked when he realizes Lana never understood what the "Danger Zone" comments were about. Oh, and then there was the second revelation that Archer was the parent of Lana's child, having used sperm from her ex to get pregnant. That's not the sort of plot point that can be dropped as easily as, say, Archer's own mysterious parentage. Apparently Lana and Archer adjusting to life as less-than-traditional parents is going to play heavily into the sixth season, which should put an additional wrangle in the pair's combative relationship. And probably less singing of Danger Zone.
