2. A Rampant Desire To Have Fun With Sensitive Topics
Archer's characters are terrible, terrible human beings. Most modern television has focused on the disadvantages of 'feeling' things, from House and his indelible addictions to Walter White and his thirst for power (or maybe just significance). Archer highlights similar depths in these characters, satirizes them, then pulls no punches in the surreal situations they're thrown into and how blasé - and generally selfish - their reactions are. It's essentially Seinfeld - animated and exaggerated for a spy-setting. I'll give you one example, and if it doesn't sell you, you're probably soulless and generally unfunny to your friends and family alike:
Archer: Oh my God, you killed a hooker! Cyril: Call girl! She was a call girl! Archer: No, Cyril, when they're dead, they're just hookers!
