Arrested Development: 10 Insane Details You Definitely Missed

6. Did You Notice What Lupe Was Wearing?

Lupe is the long-suffering housekeeper who has worked for Lucille Bluth for an indeterminate amount of time. She is frequently on the receiving end of Lucille's racist and elitist remarks. Still, there's more interaction between the characters than most people noticed while watching the show.

Whenever she appears in an episode centered around a holiday, her wardrobe falls behind — two holidays behind, to be exact. When she showed up for a Valentine's Day function, she sported a T-shirt with the words "Gobble Gobble," while at a Christmas party, her shirt had the text, "BOO!"

Over time, it becomes clear that Lupe is the recipient of Bluth hand-me-downs, and it's something that's been going on for a long time. When there's a flashback to 1994, Lupe can be seen wearing a Bush/Quayle sweatshirt six years after the 1988 election of those two candidates.

Similarly, Mrs. Featherbottom (Tobias' "Mrs. Doubtfire" character/attempt to inject himself further into the family) wore hand-me-downs. In an episode that came out in 2005, she can be seen wearing a Bush/Cheney t-shirt. That was five years after that particular election, and it showed that the two characters shopped from the same store (The Bluth attic).
