Arrested Development Season 5: 18 WTF Moments

9. The Father-Son Hallway "Fight"

In episode three, George Michael and Michael run into each for the first time since George Michael punched him, and some awkward chit-chat follows.

As George Michael leaves, he goes in for a hug, and Michael immediately employs some hilariously dramatic, Matrix-style defense manoeuvers, while George Michael responds with some of his own. With the scene taking place in a hallway, was this a nod to the abundance of hallway fights in Netflix's Marvel shows?

It lasts for mere seconds, and then the moment's over. However, George Michael later finds a surveillance video of the incident - which was nowhere near as dramatic as he remembered - on the site Nearmisters.com, which actually redirects to Netflix.com in reality.

As if there is isn't enough of a Star Wars vibe to the whole thing, George Michael later says, "It feels like we're on the edge of physical menace, which fortunately I've trained myself for. But has he been training too? What was that in the hallway?"

This is all recalled one more time in episode five, when the pair bump into one another again and have a brief, intense stare down before deciding to just talk instead.
