Arrow: 10 Biggest Questions We Have For Season 8
3. Will The Whole Season Be Based On The Crisis?
Though the flash-forwards are indeed set to continue, there has been a lot of uncertainty in regards to what fans should expect from the present-day storyline (if indeed there is any). This uncertainty stems from the fact that the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover will take place at the end of the fall season and the start of the spring season, quite possibly serving as the midseason finale to The Flash, Supergirl and Batwoman, season premiere to Legends of Tomorrow and, most importantly of all: the series finale to Arrow.
Adding to this, it's common knowledge that Oliver's deal with The Monitor will play into the crossover and that, in all likelihood, he will give his life to protect the multiverse and, in doing so, bring about the end of Arrow.
Taking all of this into account, it's safe to say we already know that the Crisis is the endgame, the real question is: How do we get there?
The Monitor's arrival robbed Oliver of a relatively grounded final season of heroics in Star City and thus, as the pair head off to wherever it is they're going in a bid to prepare for the Crisis, it's highly likely that we'll spend most of the season watching them do just that. With that in mind, we could very well see a season full of the Green Arrow and The Monitor travelling the multiverse together as they recruit heroes to help them stop the Crisis.
Whatever happens, expect the Crisis to play a major role in Season 8.
