Stephen Amell, aka Oliver Queen, dropped a hint recently that we would be seeing Coast City in the next season of Arrow. Its significant, of course, because that is the home of the Hal Jordan iteration of Green Lantern. Its likely that something big will be going down there, meaning Oliver is required in the city. This would apply whether it shows up in the present day or is the focus of the flashbacks. The big question this raises is, of course, whether Green Lantern will be making an appearance. After all, would the show really introduce Coast City without its hero? There has been some speculation that John Diggle could be the Green Lantern John Stewart, although that seems more like wishful thinking. If they do introduce Lantern itd be more likely to be Hal Jordan. If hes already a fully-formed hero though, then how on earth hasnt he already been mentioned in three seasons of the show so far (especially if its a flashback, in which case Oliver would definitely know about him). Alternatively it could be a pre-powers Jordan, leading up to a Green Lantern TV show (which must be at least a consideration of DC at the moment). Whether the show includes him, or choose to ignore the Lantern altogether, it's still likely that a key role will fall to Ferris Aircraft, which is an aerospace and defence company based there, and might have some part to play in Oliver's backstory (such as his ability to pilot a plane).
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
