Arrow: 10 Non-Powered Superheroes Who Should Appear
4. Mr. Terrific
Batman isnt the only superhero in the DC universe with an extremely high intelligence. Once described as the third-smartest man in the world, Michael Holt can give Batman a run for his money any day. At a young age, Michael was able to master theoretical physics and other advanced sciences while other kids were trudging through elementary school. He described his talent as having a natural aptitude for having natural aptitudes. After obtaining multiple doctorates and becoming an Olympian decathlete, he started his own company and became a self-made millionaire. His happiest moment, however, came when he married his wife Paula, although this happiness would be short-lived after she and their unborn child were killed in a car crash. Contemplating suicide, Michael was stopped by The Spectre, who told him about a man named Terry Sloane who had talents similar to Holts and used them to help others. Following in Sloanes footsteps, Michael became the second Mr. Terrific and an important member of the Justice Society. In the New 52, however, Michael was inspired to become a superhero by his son from an alternate universe, and Sloane is now an antihero from Earth 2 who attacked Michael when he arrived on the alternate Earth. Weve seen earthquake machines and super-serums, so its not a stretch to imagine an individual in the Arrowverse creating out-of-the-ordinary technology to fight crime. At the very least, they should feature Terrifics most well-known tools: the T-spheres. In the comics, these weapons can do everything from projecting holograms to generating electric charges, For the show, however, Id recommend each sphere only have one function rather than many, i.e. use one to knock out a buildings power and another as a projectile. As for Michael, keep his non-supernatural details of his history intact, from the loss of his wife to being a millionaire. For some lightheartedness, I can imagine a fun feud between him and Arrow where he tries to outdo Olivers fighting skills with his inventions.
