Arrow: 10 Non-Powered Superheroes Who Should Appear
3. The Question
No, Im not talking about the Trinity of Sin version featured in the New 52. Im talking about the original Question: Vic Sage. Originally a television journalist, Vic used The Question persona to get the answers his civilian identity wasnt able to. Questions most notable feature was his faceless appearance, which was accomplished using a mask made of Pseudoderm and tended to freak out criminals. Question also made use of a binary gas which not only bonded the mask to his face but also changed the color of his hair and clothing, which added an extra layer of protection to his disguise. Although he was a crime fighter, Vic focused more on political corruption rather than minor offenses. Originally learning martial arts from Richard Dragon, Vic also practiced Eastern philosophy (and later shamanism) to understand the workings of his city. Vic eventually died of cancer, but not before passing the Question mantle to Gotham City detective Renee Montoya. The Questions identity would make a great mystery in Starling City. Start off his story by having Oliver hear rumors about a faceless man taking on the politically corrupt of Starling City. Eventually, Oliver would discover this man during one of his patrols. Several episodes later, they introduce Vic Sage as a new TV reporter in Starling City, but dont reveal that hes The Question immediately. Give non-comics fans some time to deduce who this new vigilante is. Not only would having Question on the show give the Arrow costume and makeup department the challenge of creating his look, but the show could also incorporate his philosophical outlook into the narrative. With Oliver deciding to (mostly) no longer kill, the show could use The Questions aggressive crusade to revisit Olivers old goal of attacking those who failed Starling City, and whether his new methods are still making a difference.
